In 2021, best-selling presidential historian and former White House aide Tevi Troy launched an examination of how the presidency has changed under the leadership of the four 21st-century occupants of the White House, from George W. Bush to Joe Biden.
This examination included discussions with and papers by top presidential scholars and practitioners of these changes and what they mean for the future of the presidency and the republic. These analyses have been compiled into a forthcoming book, The Shifting Twenty-First Century Presidency: Assessing the Implications for America and the World.
Mack McLarty, former Chief of Staff for President Bill Clinton, and Ron Christie, former Special Assistant to President George W. Bush, will join Dr. Troy to discuss the book. During this event, BPC is proud to announce the publication of a related e-book featuring historical perspectives on the 21st-century presidency.
