Tara DiJulio Joins BPC Board

Washington, DC – Tara DiJulio, vice president and chief communications officer at GE and chief communications officer at GE Aerospace, has joined the Bipartisan Policy Center’s Board of Directors.

“We are thrilled to have Tara join BPC’s esteemed board and look forward to the unique outlook she can provide to both the board and the organization as a whole,” said Kelly Darnell, interim CEO of BPC. “She will be the first millennial to sit on the board and with that adds another level of important perspective for our board and leadership.”

As a member of the senior leadership teams at GE and GE Aerospace, DiJulio is a strategic advisor to GE Chairman and CEO and GE Aerospace CEO H. Lawrence Culp, Jr. as GE continues on the path to become three independent companies focused on the growth sectors of health care, energy, and aviation. In early 2023, GE completed the successful spin-off of GE HealthCare as an independent, investment grade company and is on track to launch GE Aerospace and GE Vernova as standalone public companies in early 2024 while continuing to invent the future of flight and lead the energy transition.

As vice president and chief communications officer of GE, DiJulio leads GE’s communications function globally, including external communications and media relations, financial communications, public affairs, corporate reputation, and executive communications. At GE Aerospace, she oversees all communications, public affairs, and brand efforts and works closely with leaders to position the business for success.

“Tara is exactly the type of individual we need on the BPC board,” said Henry Cisneros, BPC board president. “Her entire professional career has been one of fostering bipartisan solutions to some of our most pressing needs. We welcome her energy, enthusiasm, and insights in the years ahead as we shape an exciting new chapter for the Bipartisan Policy Center.”

Before joining GE in 2016, DiJulio spent nearly a decade in the U.S. Senate where she was a chief media strategist and national spokesperson for five senators, including serving as the communications director for the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

DiJulio is a graduate of the University of Washington, where she earned bachelor’s degrees in communications and political science.
