Ricky Hatch

Ricky is the elected Weber County (UT) Clerk/Auditor. He serves as the Chairman of the Elections Subcommittee for the National Association of Counties. He is a founding member of the Dept. of Homeland Security’s Election Infrastructure Government Coordinating Council and co-authored the Election Infrastructure’s Communications Protocols and National Cyber Incident Response Plan.

He has testified twice before Congress regarding elections. He serves as Chair of the EAC’s Board of Advisors. He served as President of the Utah Association of Counties, President of the Utah Clerk and Auditor Association, and has chaired the Utah Clerk’s Legislative Committee since 2016. He served as the inaugural Election Officials Division Director for the International Association of Government Officials (iGO) and currently serves as their Treasurer. He was honored as Utah’s County Clerk of the Year in 2015 and 2022, and Auditor of the Year in 2013 and 2017.

Prior to being elected in 2010, Ricky worked as an information systems auditor and consultant, an educator, and a business analyst in Los Angeles, Poland, Germany, Boston, and Utah.

Ricky earned his Master’s of Accountancy from BYU, is a Certified Public Accountant, and earned his Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) license in 1997. He’s also an Eagle Scout.
