Michele Gazda is a Senior Policy Analyst specializing in mental health and addiction policy. Previously, she provided expert guidance on health care spending priorities as a health policy fellow for a member of the House Committee on Appropriations.

During her tenure at Booz Allen Hamilton, Michele led two national public health initiatives for the Department of Defense, including a multistate pilot program to enhance access to care and data-driven, risk-based suicide prevention program. Additionally, Michele played a pivotal role in implementing and conducting audits for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Michele’s expertise has been recognized by major media outlets, and she has made significant research contributions with publications in peer-reviewed journals. Michele earned her Master of Public Health from Columbia University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio Wesleyan University.
