Maggie Cordish

Maggie Cordish is a fellow at BPC focused on early childhood and paid leave issues. Cordish is a former Policy Advisor on family and childcare policy in the White House Office of Economic Initiatives. During her tenure at the White House, she was a key advisor on Paid Family Leave, the Tax Cuts and Job Act provision that doubled the Child Tax Credit. Previously, she worked on early childhood education issues in the philanthropic sector for the Cordish Family Foundation, supporting innovative mentoring strategies, charter education and an early childhood center. She has a background in finance, having worked as an analyst at several financial institutions throughout her career, including HSBC Private Bank and the Telsey Advisory Group.

Maggie and her husband have three young children and live in Baltimore, MD. She holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Columbia Business School. Currently, Cordish is a Masters candidate at Johns Hopkins in the Environmental Science and Policy program.
