Using Data portability and interoperability for promoting competition are areas with bipartisan support, but there is a debate on when and how data portability and interoperability would work and how effective they would be in boosting competition. This event will bring together experts to examine the promise and limits of these tools and how they would work in practice. Issues of privacy and security will be examined in this context.
