From training surgeons to creating virtual prototypes of cars to providing therapy for veterans, immersive technologies are affecting broader society in important ways. These technologies raise critical policy issues on topics such as privacy, security, and safety. The Bipartisan Policy Center partnered with the XR Association to bring together civil society, industry, academic, and government stakeholders to study and debate issues on virtual, augmented, and mixed reality. After over a year of research and stakeholder engagement, BPC is excited to release a report summarizing key findings from our effort to help chart a course on public policy for immersive technologies.
Please join us on Wednesday, April 13th, as BPC shares our research and convenes experts to discuss what’s next for XR.
