With the 2016 presidential election just days away, more and more Americans are wondering whether our country’s election administrators are ready to run our elections. We know that millions of voters will cast their ballots at their local polling place on Election Day. In fact, voters in many states are already casting early and absentee ballots. What will election administrators do to avoid long lines? How do election officials keep voter registration lists up to date and accurate? Will voting equipment function properly? How will ballots from uniformed service and other overseas civilian voters be processed?

The Bipartisan Policy Center hosted a discussion with the co-chairs of the Presidential Commission on Election Administration—whose work BPC is continuing—and secretaries of state to answer these and other questions about the 2016 election.
