The infographic below illustrates changes to the regulation of selected kinds of financial activities in three stages: prior to the Dodd-Frank Act; the current, post-Dodd-Frank structure; and the new structure recommended by the Bipartisan Policy Center’s Regulatory Architecture Task Force. The task force’s plan results in a more streamlined regulatory structure that is more conducive to financial stability and economic growth.
