Washington, D.C.– Tomorrow, Friday, March 27, White House Counsel W. Neil Eggleston will discuss election administration during a Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) event marking one year since the release of recommendations by the Presidential Commission on Election Administration (PCEA). Eggleston and PCEA co-chairs Bob Bauer and Ben Ginsberg will make remarks and take questions during the event’s opening session.
These remarks are part of an all-day event bringing together former PCEA commissioners, various election administrators and experts to discuss the report and reflect on the past year. Topics of focus will include discussions on voting technology, polling place lines, early voting, voter registration and data sharing.
The full event will be streamed live on BPC’s website.
In January 2014, the PCEA presented its findings in a report to President Obama and Vice President Biden. Together with commission co-chairs Bauer and Ginsberg, BPC is actively working in states across the country to advance the PCEA’s recommendations.
Members of the press wishing to attend or to request interviews, please email Jordan LaPier at [email protected]. Press setup will be at 8:30am EDT.
