Statement from BPC’s Mackler on DAC Hubs Award Announcement

Washington, DC – The following is a statement from Sasha Mackler, executive director of the Bipartisan Policy Center’s Energy Program:

The Department of Energy’s ambitious program to scale direct air capture (DAC) is a giant leap forward for this nascent technology that holds enormous potential to reduce carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and contribute to the achievement of net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by mid-century.
