BPC Welcomes David Blair to Board of Directors

Washington, D.C.– The Bipartisan Policy Center today announced that David Blair, the chairman of Accountable Health Solutions Inc., has joined its Board of Directors.

Blair was formerly chairman and CEO of Catalyst Health Solutions, a Fortune 500 company, and has served on the Montgomery County (MD) Economic Advisory Committee. He and his wife are active philanthropists, supporting local efforts to end poverty and homelessness, promote healthy living, empower children with disabilities, and provide quality early childhood education.

“David Blair is a tremendous addition to BPC’s board,” said former Senate majority leader and BPC co-founder Tom Daschle. “Throughout his career he has gained deep on-the-ground knowledge of America’s health care system, and his history of philanthropy has been aimed at improving the lives of Americans, just as we seek to do through policy solutions at BPC.”

“David is an experienced, creative community leader with a track record of success,” said BPC President Jason Grumet. “There is much to learn from the constructive collaboration and pragmatism that drives progress in local communities. We are pleased to add David’s insight and experience to BPC.”

“The Bipartisan Policy Center has developed a reputation for sound, sensible bipartisan reforms to our health care system that focus on reducing costs and expanding quality coverage to millions of Americans,” said Blair. “I am proud to associate with BPC not only on its critical health care work but its other programs to better the delivery of services to the American public.”

In addition to his service on BPC’s board, Blair serves as a board member and advisor to several organizations including the Community Foundation’s Sharing Montgomery Grants Committee and the Partnership for a Healthier America.
