BPC to Honor Reps. Johnson, Lewis Next Tuesday

Tuesday, March 8, 2016

Washington, D.C. – On March 15, the Bipartisan Policy Center will present its inaugural Congressional Patriot Award to Reps. Sam Johnson (R-TX) and John Lewis (D-GA) in a ceremony at the Library of Congress. BPC’s biennial Congressional Patriot Award will recognize two members of Congress—one Republican and one Democrat—who place the interests and goals of our nation above all other concerns in a manner that brings credibility and esteem to the institution. The evening will include remarks from House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), and feature Co-Founder and Co-CEO of the Carlyle Group, David Rubenstein, moderating a wide-ranging discussion with the honorees.
