BPC Joins the Nation in Mourning the Loss of Gen. Colin Powell

Colin Powell exemplifies the values and mission of the Bipartisan Policy Center. From his humble roots, Colin Powell is an American success story. As chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and secretary of state, he always offered his candid assessment to presidents. Since leaving public service, Gen. Powell has given back to the nation in so many ways, especially his leadership with the America’s Promise Alliance. He leaves behind a legacy to the country he loved. We extend our deepest sympathy to his wife Alma and the extended Powell family.”
