Earlier this week the trustees for Social Security and Medicare released their latest projections on when their trust funds will dry up. They’re holding steady saying Medicare’s Hospital Insurance fund will run out by 2026 and the main Social Security fund will be empty by 2034. Jordan is joined by BPC associate director Tim Shaw to discuss why treading water for these programs isn’t enough.
