Rayven Vinson is a policy analyst for BPC’s Paid Family Leave Taskforce. Before joining BPC, she was a student at King’s College London in the United Kingdom, where she received her Master’s in International Political Economy. While much of her academic studies have centered on international policy, she made it a priority to examine U.S. economic policy, particularly its response to the Financial Crisis, the welfare state, and labor market policy, through a more critical lens.
Rayven’s previous work experience has centered in public service. She was a special assistant for U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow and a constituent services representative for former U.S. Senator Barbara Mikulski. Before then, she worked at the Baltimore Police Department as a research assistant on best practices reform and the gun violence reduction project, Operation Ceasefire. Rayven has a B.A. in International Relations and Spanish from the University of Southern California.
