Natalie Davis is Director of Strategic Engagement at the BPC. In this role, Davis leads strategy and engagement of external stakeholders augmenting BPC Health Project and BPC Action work with the goal of providing a forum and process for including comprehensive real-world input, including state, federal, private-sector, and civic input. Davis joined BPC from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), where she worked since 2010.
Davis was most recently the Senior Advisor to the Acting Administrator of CMS, Andy Slavitt, where she provided strategic and tactical direction in the development of CMS internal and external priorities, as well as a liaison with stakeholders and leaders throughout the country. Prior to her role as Senior Advisor, Davis led the team that oversaw the education and training over 2000+ individuals facilitating enrollment in health insurance for millions of consumers. Davis began working for the Obama Administration in 2010 with the passage of the Affordable Care Act, and was instrumental in the launch of multiple projects including the Issuer Plan Management technology and processes, and creating the initial framework for the Quality and Transparency provisions in the ACA. Prior to CMS, she worked for the National Committee for Quality Assurance, for the George Washington University School of Medicaid Office of the Deans, and for the scholarly journal Academic Medicine of the Association of American Medical Colleges.
