Jessica L. Barnes is the senior manager of events at the Bipartisan Policy Center. She has over 15 years of experience in planning events with 10 to over 3,000 attendees for both profit and nonprofit organizations. She is a creative and detail-oriented professional with exceptional intercultural communication and diplomacy skills gained through living and working in Asian, European, and Latin American countries.
Prior to joining BPC, Jessica worked for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) in New York City where she managed in-person and virtual meetings, technical conferences (including ASME’s annual signature International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition), industry events, and student engineering festivals (E-Fests). She also worked for the American Bar Association’s Criminal Justice Section where she oversaw all international events.
Barnes earned her M.A. in international education from George Washington University and her Bachelor of Arts from Wells College where she majored in women’s studies and minored in German.
