Jeb Mason is Partner at Mindset, a bipartisan public policy consultancy based in Washington, DC. Jeb is a highly adept policy strategist, sought after for his expertise on housing finance policy, financial regulatory reform, and complex financial market challenges with a nexus to Washington. He has spent the last decade building the firm’s diverse and successful advisory practice where he advises mortgage market participants on the policy landscape with an eye toward the technology and regulatory transformation taking place in housing finance markets. He also specializes in helping institutional investors, global brands, and startups capitalize on opportunities and navigate risks in today’s dynamic public policy environment. A frequent commentator at leading industry events, Jeb has also appeared as a subject matter expert with the Wall Street Journal, the American Banker, and on Bloomberg Television.

Prior to joining Mindset, Jeb served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Treasury and Policy Advisor to Secretary Henry M. Paulson, Jr., where he played a key role in developing the Treasury’s views on domestic and international economic policy. In recognition of his contributions, including the creation of strategies for advancing and communicating Administration policy with the business, advocacy, and financial communities through the height of the global financial crisis, he was presented the Distinguished Service Award by Secretary Paulson. 

Preceding Treasury, Jeb served as Associate Director for Strategic Initiatives at the White House, where he advised senior staff and Cabinet officials on major policy initiatives, including tax reform, healthcare reform, American competitiveness, and trade. Earlier in his public service career, Jeb served three years as a Department of Defense Fellow, where he held a succession of high-pressure national security posts during and following the 9/11 terrorist attacks, advising senior leaders at the Pentagon, the White House, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq.

Jeb holds degrees in Economics and Public Policy from Southern Methodist University.

He currently resides in his native Dallas with his wife, Taylor, and their four children.
