Chad Kolton is the Senior Vice President of Communications at the Bipartisan Policy Center.
With almost 30 years of experience in the public and private sectors, Chad Kolton develops public relations strategies that successfully shape policymaking at the federal and state levels. He has been quoted extensively as a spokesperson for both Republican and Democrat presidential administrations.
In government, Kolton provided executive-level public relations counsel and managed teams that developed and executed comprehensive communications strategies. He headed the public affairs office for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and FEMA and served as the press secretary for the White House Office of Management and Budget.
In the private sector, he has served corporate, trade association, and nonprofit clients, leading strategic and crisis communications planning, communications function reorganization, content creation, and media engagement. His work spans a broad range of regulatory and policy issues, including tax, energy, international affairs, trade, and education.
Kolton began his career on Capitol Hill as deputy press secretary for the House Republican Conference under then-Chair U.S. Rep. John Boehner (R-OH), the former speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.
