Andrew Carothers is a research analyst for BPC’s Economic Policy Project, focusing on fiscal policy and retirement security. Prior to joining BPC, he worked as a legislative correspondent for Senator Jeanne Shaheen, covering a broad domestic portfolio that included economic, fiscal, Social Security, small business, tax, infrastructure, labor, and healthcare policy. Before his time on the Hill, Carothers worked as a management consultant at Mastercard in Washington, DC and Cape Town, South Africa.
Carothers received a B.A. from Dartmouth College, where he graduated magna cum laude with a major in Government and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.
