Andrea Lau is a policy analyst for BPC’s J. Ronald Terwilliger Center for Housing Policy. Prior to joining BPC, she worked at the National Fair Housing Alliance where she advocated for federal, state, and local policies that promoted racial equity in affordable housing and fair housing protections. Lau has been published with co-authors in the American Bar Association’s Journal of Affordable Housing and Community Development Law. She was also previously a research assistant at the Georgetown Center for Poverty and Inequality’s Economic Security and Opportunity Initiative, studying the effect of federal social safety net and employment assistance programs in alleviating poverty and improving life outcomes, and oversaw grant management at Asian Americans Advancing Justice | AAJC. She holds a B.A. from Case Western Reserve University, and a Master’s in Public Policy from Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy.
