Letter to Senators Murphy and Johnson on S.Res. 403

“The Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) strongly supports S.Res. 403, condemning the Government of Turkey’s recent blocking access to social media and thereby restricting free expression and Internet freedom. The strong and historic alliance between Turkey and the United States is grounded in a shared commitment to fundamental liberties. This resolution expresses appropriate concern about the Government of Turkey’s recent actions while demonstrating that bipartisan collaboration remains alive and well in the foreign policy arena.”
