Two of President Trump’s most debated and high-profile immigration initiatives – the so-called “travel ban” and the withholding of funding from sanctuary cities – have been put on hold by federal courts. The administration has vowed to take the issues all the way to the Supreme Court, and the justices will decide soon on whether to hear the travel ban case.
Join us for a sit-down discussion on Thursday, June 29, between Immigration and Cross-Border Policy Director at BPC Theresa Brown, and Bo Cooper, lead partner of Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen, and Lowey’s Government Strategies and Compliance Group and former General Counsel of the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service. They’ll examine what these cases are about, the strength of the arguments on each side, and what other pieces of Trump’s immigration puzzle could come before the Supreme Court. Be sure to tune in.
