The most recent election highlighted our country’s deep political, economic and culture divides. Yet despite these differences, our government must continue to function. BPC’s Commission on Political Reform has made several recommendations designed to strengthen and promote our governmental institutions so they can respond to the needs of our democracy.
Congressional experts John Fortier, Director of BPC’s Democracy Project, and Don Wolfensberger, former Staff Director of the House Rules Committee, discussed Congressional reforms that will lead to a better-functioning institution during this period of hyperpolarization.
