As Congress grapples with immigration reform, border security remains a critical component of the debate. Many in Congress—and around the country—consider securing our southern border and effectively enforcing our immigration laws essential to reforming our immigration system. BPC held a conversation on border security, its role in reform and the implications for border communities. The event was part of BPC’s Immigration Task Force, led by former Governors Haley Barbour and Ed Rendell and former Secretaries Condoleezza Rice and Henry Cisneros.
