A year after Turkey’s July 15 coup attempt, please join the Bipartisan Policy Center for an independent and critical examination of its causes, consequences, and long-term legacy for Turkey’s foreign and domestic politics.
The coup attempt and its aftermath have exacerbated a number of alarming trends, both in Turkey and in Turkey’s relationship with the United States. In the past year, Washington has struggled to figure out an effective response in the midst of ongoing crises on Turkey’s border. Charting a path forward begins with better understanding all that has changed in Turkey over the past year.
