In the current health care debate, state and federal policymakers have stressed the need for increased state flexibility. BPC convened a group of state and federal policy experts to discuss existing waiver authorities under Sections 1115 and 1332. The discussion focused on how the House and Senate health care bills would change that authority, and how a new administration might implement them.
This event is part of BPC’s efforts under its Future of Health Care Initiative. It’s the fourth in a series designed to help policymakers gain a common understanding of the underlying challenges in health care and considerations for reform.
