The federal government is investing billions of dollars in clean energy through tax credits, demonstration projects, loans, and infrastructure investments following passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act. Now, the actions of the private sector will determine whether our nation capitalizes on this opportunity to commercialize the clean energy technologies needed to address climate change and increase U.S. competitiveness.
While these federal programs have resulted in a number of announcements for new investments in energy projects across America, challenges remain in ensuring the pace and ambition of the private sector matches the scale of the problem at hand.
Join the Bipartisan Policy Center for a conversation on how the private sector is stepping up to the challenge of rapidly commercializing and deploying low emissions technologies. The event will feature a fireside chat with the Department of Energy’s Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations Director David Crane, and panel discussion with Tom Steyer and American Energy Innovation Council Co-Chairs Norm Augustine and Chad Holliday.
A networking reception will take place following the event.
