Today, emerging therapies offer promising cures for life-threatening diseases such as Alzheimer’s, cancer, Parkinson’s, etc. Pending legislation in Congress could streamline getting treatments and cures to patients. It will also bolster both the Food and Drug Administration and the National Institutes of Health to effectively carry out their roles in this charge. The vast increase in available data from electronic health records, claims systems, registries, and even patients themselves, also known as real world evidence, offers an opportunity to change the paradigm of evidence development for treatments in the U.S. Be our guest as we explore these topics.
