The spread of COVID-19 and the resulting economic fallout have placed unprecedented financial strain on the higher education system. Enrollment is in flux, state higher education budgets are under increased pressure, and institutions face ballooning costs associated with virus management. While emergency federal funding has helped to fill some of the gap, the outlook for higher education finances in 2021 remains grim.

This event will convene experts to discuss the financial challenges that lay ahead for the higher education system, the potential for increasing college closures, and policy solutions to mitigate the fallout.
