As Congress continues to work on legislative proposals to prohibit surprise medical bills, two key members of Congress will discuss their efforts at BPC on October 30. Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) and Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-NH), both members of the Senate Health Education Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee and the Senate Finance Committee, have proposed bipartisan legislation to protect patients from surprise medical bills. The discussion will focus on their proposal and the broad efforts in the Congress to act on this issue.

Following the session with Sens. Cassidy and Hassan, a bipartisan and bicameral panel of key congressional staff members will address the various surprise billing proposals under consideration.
