With reauthorization of the Higher Education Act picking up steam, Dr. Jones will outline the Department’s perspectives on a range of issues, potentially including federal accountability mechanisms, reforms to higher education financing, and the recent string of college closures.

This conversation will be followed by a panel discussion honing in on the policy implications of the college closure process, assessing options for reform, and weighing the extent to which institutional accountability can be strengthened to improve the higher education system for students and families.
