Even before COVID-19, women faced unique barriers towards achieving financial security, such as navigating the gender wage gap, caregiving and child care costs, and longevity. The pandemic and resulting recession only exacerbated these issues. Women are now unemployed at higher rates and are more likely to work on the frontlines, putting themselves and their financial security at risk. Women of color, in particular, have been disproportionately affected by these challenges.
Join our digital event, co-hosted by Yahoo Finance and the Funding Our Future campaign, to hear from personal finance experts about how women can recover from this recession and take charge of their financial futures. Now more than ever, we know women are focused on creating a solid safety net to prepare for short- and long-term needs, including facing any next financial shock – from an unexpected expense to a pandemic.
