This event has passed.

This is the second in a series of public events to assess market dynamics and policy opportunities for improving access to health insurance and affordability of coverage. As insurers determine whether to continue participation in the individual health insurance market, we take a closer look at short-term and long-term challenges facing the marketplace. Panelists discussed steps that can be taken by the federal and state governments to stabilize the market, as well as the current obstacles to preserving the health insurance risk pool.

This discussion was part of BPC’s efforts under its Future of Health Care. The series is designed to help policymakers gain a common understanding of the underlying challenges in health care and considerations for reform.
