Join BPC and The National Association for Family Child Care, a nonprofit dedicated to the profession of home-based family child care, for the next event in BPC’s child care roundtable series. Small family child care providers are an important support for many parents and children. Yet family child care operates within a fragile business structure that has been exacerbated by the pandemic and often without targeted policies to support it. Register and explore the important role home-based family child care plays for families and identify federal policy solutions to strengthen family child care options.
Panelists will also discuss:
- How federal relief packages helped family child care remain open during COVID-19;
- What early learning policies impact the viability of the family child care sector; and
- Discuss a national family child care policy framework intended to guide policy solutions.
This event is the second in a series focused on the ways in which the COVID-19 crisis has impacted working parents and child care providers.
