As the COVID-19 pandemic spreads quickly into rural areas, health care facilities are struggling to cope with strained resources. The pandemic and lack of resources, coupled with high rates of chronic disease and difficulty accessing care, has threatened closure for many hospitals in rural America: more than 500 rural hospitals are at risk of folding.

Join the Bipartisan Policy Center on May 14th to hear from the frontlines of rural health care. During this webinar, rural hospital leaders will highlight the specific challenges they face in treating patients and keeping their doors open. The event will build on our recently released rural health report and event by allowing the public to hear directly from rural providers and health system administrators.
