As the transportation sector begins to shift from a gasoline and diesel past to an electric future, commercial goods transport is at the center of an emerging strategic policy agenda. The electrification transformation is often discussed only in terms of personal mobility and passenger vehicles, however the medium-and heavy-duty (MHD) trucks on our nation’s roadways are a critical component of our nation’s transportation system, and the technology is ready to meet the operational need. Congress has an opportunity to put the United States in the economic and technological driver’s seat by creating a pathway to accelerate the electrification of commercial goods transport.

Join the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC), Securing America’s Future Energy (SAFE), and Electrification Coalition (EC) for a conversation on a policy agenda to improve our nation’s electric vehicle and transportation infrastructure.
