In 2018, Facebook, the tech industry, and the world were just beginning to grapple with issues of misinformation, Russian interference in elections, and online political advertising. Then, the Cambridge Analytica scandal shocked the world. On the five-year anniversary of the scandal, BPC is convening a panel of top technology and political experts to discuss if the countless studies, reports, hearings, laws, and products created in the aftermath of Cambridge Analytica have made user data safer.
