Please join the Bipartisan Policy Center as it launches a Rural Health Task Force and releases a national poll on the health care challenges facing rural America. The event will include remarks from members of Congress, a presentation of poll results, and a discussion with task force members on the barriers and opportunities for improving access to care for those living in rural areas.

Over the next year, the task force will build on BPC’s 2018 report, Reinventing Rural Health Care: A Case Study of Seven Upper Midwest States. The report provided a snapshot of the health care challenges in this region and identified key areas for reform that could apply nationally to all rural communities. The task force will examine policy solutions to rightsizing health care services that better fit a community’s needs, creating appropriate payment models for services, strengthening the rural workforce, and expanding telemedicine services.
