The Bipartisan Policy Center’s (BPC) project, “America’s Nuclear Future: Taking Action to Address Nuclear Waste,” was designed to reinvigorate and expand the discussion on nuclear waste, identify barriers prohibiting progress on storage and disposal of the waste, and explore options to create a viable national strategy for its long-term and safe disposition.

BPC hosted a regional event in Richland, WA for a discussion on local and national perspectives on the disposal of defense waste and the impacts of the lack of action on Native American tribes.

Note that the event ran from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m PT.
