America in Recovery: Lessons Learned from Essential Employers

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, businesses across the country shuttered their doors and furloughed employees, causing an economic recession. However, there were numerous ‘essential businesses’ that continued to operate and required their employees to provide critical services, like health care, food, and utilities.
