The Bipartisan Policy Center hosted Mark Finley, general manager of global energy markets at BP, for a session on energy policy.

Finley discussed BP’s “Energy Outlook 2035” which identifies long-term energy trends and develops projections for world energy markets to 2035. He covered several topics including: Which fuels will gain—and lose—global market share? What is the outlook for U.S. tight oil and shale gas supply, and what will the U.S. energy renaissance mean for global markets? What changes are likely for China (the world’s biggest energy consumer)? The report reflects BP’s best efforts to describe a “most likely” trajectory of the global energy system and developments in policy and energy markets to 2035.
