Off to the Big Easy

“The question on some people’s minds lately is this: Who will be advising Washington when the advisers are all in New Orleans? They’ll be heading there for the Bipartisan Policy Center — the brainchild of former Senate Majority Leaders Howard Baker, Tom Daschle, Bob Dole and George Mitchell — which is hosting its Political Summit on Nov. 9 and 10. The organization — which is exactly what it sounds like — boasts a lineup of A-list names of punditry: James Carville, Tad Devine, Stan Greenberg, Larry Grisolano, Mandy Grunwald, Joe Lockhart, Hilary Rosen and Joe Trippi. And those are just the D’s.

“The R’s are pretty good, too: Mary Matalin, Dan Bartlett, Charlie Black, Alex Castellanos, Steve Schmidt, Mark McKinnon and David Winston.

“After they finish talking about ‘what’s fair in politics,’ they’ll also be playing competitive Wii for charity.”
