Common Sense Action Intern (CSA), Summer 2013
School: Brown University ‘15
Major: Applied mathematics and economics
Future Plans: Getting a job, even though I have no idea where or what the job market will look like in two years; I also want to travel, become a better cook and adopt a puppy.
Intern Duties: I write logistical emails for events, recruit fellow interns to join CSA on the Hill, update contact lists, and also host meetings and events.
Best Intern Memory: Bonding with the other interns over lunches and after work.
On the importance of bipartisanship: As we can see in Washington today, nothing will get done if we don’t work together.
On being in D.C.: What’s the best part of being in D.C.? Easily the people – everyone here talks ideas and possibilities, holds strong opinions, and works for causes they believe in. It’s inspiring. I’ve also come to realize and appreciate that while everyone in Washington is a workaholic, they also know how to have a good time- truly the embodiment of work hard, play hard!
