Navigating the New Site
Welcome to the new bipartisanpolicy.org, your source for just-the-facts analysis and recommendations on the most pressing policy issues. We are excited to share our redesigned website with you. In overhauling the site, we attempted to resolve the fundamental question of any redesign: how can we direct visitors to the content they care about as quickly as possible? Now it is time for you to take a look around and see if we achieved our goal.
What You Need to Know
- Our redesigned site is anchored by a navigation bar that sorts content by broad policy areas, allowing new and returning visitors a simple way to access research and commentary in their areas of interest.
- The scalable, responsive design ensures that users can more easily navigate the site on all devices—computers, tablets, and phones.
- Below the main navigation, the home and policy area pages feature a dynamic “pinboard” layout. The left column serves as a ticker of the latest content. The middle column is split between two featured boxes and a stream of the most popular content on the site. The item at the top allows you to scroll through upcoming events. The second item is reserved for the latest research. Finally, the right column houses featured content. Here we highlight what we view as BPC’s top content of the week.
- The More tab provides visitors a clearinghouse of information about BPC and our history, careers and internship, landing pages for all events and research, and several ways to reach our Communications department.
We want to hear from you! What do you like or dislike about the new site? Are you experiencing issues on a particular browser or device? Are there types of content that you would like to see more of from BPC? Send your thoughts to firstname.lastname@example.org. We appreciate your patience as we continue to transition and tweak the site.
