BPC is pleased to invite you to Data Transparency 2018 (DT2018) on Wednesday, October 10 in Washington, D.C. The event, hosted by the Data Foundation, is the largest annual open data conference in the United States.

When data are truly used as an asset, we develop greater transparency, analytics for better decision making, and cost reductions across the public and private sectors. Our government and society are increasingly embracing data formats and uses that lead to more evidence-informed decisions and reduce compliance burdens. Join data experts from around the country to examine the challenges, benefits, and solutions for information sharing across the public and private sectors.

DT2018 will celebrate open data leaders from around the world who are championing the movement to make data more accessible and usable through data standards and inventories. Main stage speakers will include:

● Andrea Brandon, Deputy Assistant Secretary, U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS)
● John Dougall, State Auditor of Utah
● Nick Hart, Director of the Evidence Project, Bipartisan Policy Center
● Suzette Kent, Chief Information Officer, White House Office of Management and Budget
● Kris Rowley, Chief Data Officer, U.S. General Services Administration (Invited)
● Kelly Tshibaka, Chief Data Officer, Postal Service Office of the Inspector General

The full event will also feature demonstrations of innovative data uses and discussions about transforming grant reporting, government uses of private sector data, and deploying data to fight fraud.

We look forward to seeing you all on October 10!
