Health care issues are at the forefront of the national debate. BPC is committed to developing bipartisan policy recommendations that will improve health care quality, lower costs, and enhance health care coverage and delivery. The project focuses on coverage and access to care, delivery system reform and cost containment, and long-term care.
Technology is rapidly changing our everyday lives. But what role does it play in health care? BPC conducts research and collaborates with experts and stakeholders across every sector of health care to develop recommendations that accelerate innovation and the use of information technology to drive improvements in the cost, quality, and patient experience of care.
Nearly 79 million Americans are obese, causing an increase in obesity-related diseases. BPC aims to reduce obesity and chronic diseases as well as their associated health care costs. Specifically, BPC focuses on developing healthy institutions, demonstrating the value of prevention, improving training for health care professionals, and aligning federal agriculture and nutrition policy with the dietary guidelines for Americans.
Employers can have a powerful impact on helping individuals and communities develop and/or maintain healthy habits that can improve health or better manage chronic conditions. The organizations represented on the CEO Council on Health and Innovation are leading the way toward a new understanding of health and health care, and a new vision of a health care system in which everyone plays an important role.
