Nov. 16, 2012
Washington, D.C. – Former Senator Byron L. Dorgan, former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott, retired General James L. Jones, and former EPA Administrator William K. Reilly will address the National Press Club on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, on bipartisan recommendations for executive branch organization in energy policy-making developed as part of a comprehensive report to be released in early 2013.
The Bipartisan Policy Center’s (BPC) Energy Project co-chairs will discuss their experiences in the executive and legislative branches, reflect on the experiences that led to the development of these recommendations and describe the changing state of the American energy landscape and the opportunities it presents for the country.
Margot Anderson, executive director of BPC’s Energy Project, will open the event and Jason Grumet, president of BPC, will lead a question and answer session with the audience after the co-chairs’ remarks.
The event is open to the press but space is limited. Press interested in attending should RSVP to press@bipartisanpolicy.org.
