Leading experts will headline discussions about the intersection of the federal budget and the health care industry

Washington, D.C. - The Bipartisan Policy Center’s (BPC) Health Project, in partnership with the American Health Lawyers Association, will host a policy conference, entitled, “Public Policy Meets Private Sector: A Crossroads for the Healthcare Industry,” tomorrow, December 5, 2011, in Chicago. With the super committee’s recent failure and a Supreme Court decision looming, panel discussions at this day-long conference will focus on the intersection of the federal budget and private industry with key federal and state health care leaders.

Speakers at the conference will include former Capitol Hill veterans and health care experts Sheila Burke, a BPC Health Project co-chair, and Bill Hoagland, Vice President of Public Policy and Government Affairs at CIGNA. Paul Keckley, Executive Director of Deloitte’s Center for Health Solutions, will also share his insights on how ongoing public policy discussions about health care will influence the private market.
